I am proud of the world-class research facilities in the UK that continually contribute to our understanding of so many important areas. UKRI spent nearly £8 billion in 2019, pioneering ideas and leading the way in cutting-edge innovation and research. The Government is currently developing a landmark strategy that seeks to boost innovation across the UK.
